STIRLING ROOM

This is our largest room, located at the front of the pub with a beautiful window setting area. Its name honours a crew of Stirling bombers which crashed on the outskirts of Godmanchester in 1942.

CROMWELL ROOM

This room is our smallest, but comfy, double room. I’m sure you’re thinking this room is named after Oliver Cromwell - but it’s actually named after a beloved canine friend. ‘Crommie’ was a golden cocker spaniel, who was owned by a squadron leader. Crommie was able to sense stress and cure agents during the war.

PATHFINDER ROOM

Our pathfinder room is a standard size double room. This room is named after a special force in the RAF. The men from these squadrons needed to be housed - one of these locations was Island Hall - a few hundred yards along Post Street!

EPSILON ROOM

This room is another one of our standard doubles and is named after ‘Operation Epsilon’. This was a plan to capture nuclear scientists and put them up in Farm Hall, Godmanchester, and overhear their private conversations so they could see how close Germany was to making a nuclear bomb.

GUYOT ROOM

Another standard double room - this time named after Jeanette Guyot. Jeanette was arrested for smuggling agents and civilians to the free zone during the French revolution. She was then released and was picked up by the RAF in a rescue mission. She also stayed in Farm Hall Godmanchester.
